I grew up and live in Ringwood a small town in the New forest. I was taught to knit by my mum at a very young age. Ringwood has a long history of hand knitting industry. Starting in the late Victorian era when Ringwood stockings were popular, right up until after the second world war when it was famous for its woollen gloves, hundreds of pairs were sent out to troops from Ringwood. Knitting is part of my heritage, or I was born in the wrong era, I'm never quite sure which!

Animal welfare is very important to me, before motherhood I worked as a veterinary nurse so I try to source my wool from small local British farms as much as possible. This way I know the standards of animal welfare are high. I have also been learning to spin my own yarn and hope to support more local farms by doing this.
I like to use minimal packaging so I post items carefully wrapped in a cardboard box with washing instructions supplied on the garment tags.
